What You Need to Know After Your Procedure
Aftercare instructions for Nano Brows:Hydrated Healing Method
During the healing process, the area is kept moist by applying a paper thin layer of aftercare balm to the treated area several times a day. This helps to prevent scabbing and promote faster healing. The idea is that by keeping the area moisturized, it will help the skin heal faster, and the color will appear softer and more natural.
- Do not get your brows wet for the first three days after the procedure. This includes showering, sweating, swimming, and avoiding contact with water.
- Do not pick, scratch, or rub the treated area as this can cause pigment loss or scarring.
- Starting on day one apply a thin layer of aftercare balm on the treated area one hour after leaving the clinic. Apply as needed (2-5x a day) for 7-10 days to promote healing and prevent scabbing. Always look at the brows BEFORE apply balm to determine if balm is required at that time.
- Keep the area clean, avoid touching the area and do not use any creams or lotions that contain fragrances, alcohol or peroxide.
- Be aware that the color may appear darker and bolder in the first few days, but will soften and lighten during the healing process.
Avoid the following for the next 14 days:
- Sauna, steam rooms, swimming pools and hot tubs.
- No makeup on the brow area.
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning.
- Refrain from using any exfoliating products, such as scrubs, acids and retinols.
- Avoid botox in the forehead area.
- Do not lay on your face.
- Avoid intense workouts
- It's important to protect the treated area from sun exposure, as sun exposure can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Applying daily SPF to the brows will help the longevity of the brow.
