Permanent Makeup Removal

logo botched ink pigment removalAre you looking to have your microbladed or permanent makeup eyebrows fixed, corrected or removed? Are your eyebrows saturated with pigment that needs lifting before we can give you amazing new brows? Has your eyebrow tattoo pigment gone a different colour to when you first had them done, and now you don’t like them? Or do you just have tattoo regret and want to start afresh? I can help you with any of these concerns, I’m an officially trained Botched Ink® technician. I can even help with eyebrow emergencies, if a freshly microbladed or tattooed brow turns out completely wrong, Botched Ink® will come to the rescue!

Botched Ink® is a saline solution that closely resembles the skins natural pH, this means it’s gentle on the skin. During treatment there’s no lingering burn or sting, just a short mild sting towards the end of the treatment, and this lets us know we’ve soaked the skin sufficiently for the best removal. Botched Ink® quickly dries out the treated area, and any pigment healed into that skin; pigment is then lifted and removed during the skins natural healing process. Botched Ink® causes minimal inflammation or irritation, so the healing process it pretty non-eventful. There’s a bonus too, a Botched Ink® dried out skin scab is shades of brown, a great colour for eyebrows - You might even get complimented on your new brows!

Any kind of tattoo removal is a process and Botched Ink® is no different. Although we’ve seen some great results after just one session, most clients will see improvements after 2-3 sessions. It’s worth mentally and financially committing to a course of 3 treatments before starting, and during the consultation we can assess how easily the pigment is likely to remove from your skin. Whilst we can’t give you an exact number of sessions to fully remove unwanted pigment, you’ll be able to understand the removal process and know what you’re in for.

Why Choose Saline PMU Removal

  • Less painful and fewer treatments required than laser removal, which burns the skin and often causes blistering and scarring. Laser treatment can only recognize and remove certain colors, and often cause permanent makeup colors to turn gray. If the tattoo has any mix of white ink in it, laser removal will turn the skin black in those areas.
  • Less abrasive procedure, gentler on the skin, and faster healing time.
  • Effective on all types of permanent makeup, regardless of age, color, and location.
  • Removes almost any color by lifting the pigment out of the dermis, up through the epidermis, then forming a scab which exfoliates with pigment in it. Saline also removes black discoloration caused by laser.
  • Saline only requires weeks between each session.
  • Saline can remove small sections to correct shape.
  • Saline is safe for all areas, whereas a laser isn't safe around the eyes.
  • Saline removal is a safe and organic solution that is often less expensive and less painful.

How Saline PMU Removal Works

  • The saline tattoo removal solution is applied to the skin in the same way that the pigment was originally placed. The solution contains finely milled sea salt, purified water, lemon seed extract, orange seed extract, and aloe. Our technician can treat up to a 2-by-2-inch area in one sitting.
  • The lightening/ tattoo removal solution creates a scab over the application area that will fall off by itself, as the skin heals naturally. The new skin is revealed after the scab falls off in it’s own time.
  • During the healing process the unwanted pigment attaches to the scab and effectively pulled up and out by the scab.
  • The healing is a natural process which requires that the scab be kept dry at all times until it falls off naturally.
  • The process can be repeated if necessary to remove any remaining pigment.
  • Full lightening can require 3-5 sessions, possibly more. “Lightening “ pulls out pigment layer by layer, so the more times pigment has been placed in the area, more sessions will be required to pull it all out.
  • Sometimes if “partial lightening “is all that is required, one session may be all it takes.

If you aren't satisfied with your new permanent makeup, please get in touch with us. We can remove permanent makeup on an emergency basis up to 48 hours after the treatment was done. Never try to remove or fade or remove pigment at home. This can lead to further damage of your skin and can make the problem worse.
